Brass Band
Brass Band CCA enables students to develop their musical abilities through hands-on experience with various brass and percussion instruments. Students gain valuable performance experience through the biennial Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation, enriching their musical and educational journey.

-
Cultivate core values such as discipline, resilience and perseverance as members tackle challenging pieces together. As an ensemble, they develop teamwork, mutual respect and a deep appreciation for music and the arts.

Student Experience
“When I was first assigned to Band as my CCA in P3, it was not my first choice so I thought I will not enjoy it compared to playing sports. After months of practice, I got better and better, and realised that I actually had a hidden talent for playing the trombone. Playing music is not boring but beautiful!” – Peng Yuda
Choir
Choir CCA helps students to explore and develop their love for music and singing. Through age-appropriate vocal training and exposure to diverse musical genres, cultures, and languages, our choristers will deepen their musicality and artistic appreciation. Beyond music, choir members cultivate important life skills such as teamwork, self-discipline, commitment, confidence, and resilience as they learn to blend their voices in harmony.
Objectives
Our choristers will be developed holistically across three key areas:
-
Skills:
Develop vocal and choral techniques, strengthen music literacy, and enhance ensemble performance skills.
-
Values:
Build resilience, integrity, and responsibility while appreciating cultural diversity through varied musical experiences.
-
Leadership:
Foster mentorship, initiative, and confidence as students take on roles leading peers and representing the school.
Programme Highlights:
Our choristers proudly represent the school at various platforms, including school celebrations like Prize Giving Day, as well as national events such as the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation. They also perform at external performances such as the National Day Observance Ceremony for the Buona Vista Community Club. “I love to sing with my Choir friends. When I joined as a new member in Primary 3, I will always remember how my senior helped me to sing better and improve my pitching. I am always so grateful for her, and I wish to do the same too with my junior members.” - Ariana Rose Binte Yunani
