Red Cross (Youth)
Red Cross (Youth)
Red Cross Youth (Links) is a uniformed group CCA that nurtures young leaders with strong character, life-saving skills, and a heart for service. Guided by the Red Cross ethos and humanitarian values, our Links learn to show compassion, empathy, and responsibility while gaining practical knowledge in first aid and community service.
Objectives
Red Cross Youth (Links) aims to:
-
Equip members with essential first aid skills such as treating simple wounds and tying arm slings.
-
Develop values of compassion, empathy, and civic responsibility through service to others.
-
Build confidence, discipline, and leadership qualities in a supportive team environment.
-
Foster adaptability, resilience, and teamwork through structured training and service-learning experiences.
Programme Highlights
Our Links are given opportunities to apply their knowledge and skill in competitions, such as First Aid Championship, Disaster Risk Reduction Championship, and Junior Civil Defence Lionhearter Challenge.
Besides weekly trainings, our Links also actively contribute to our school and local community through various Values-In-Action activities, like serving as first-aiders during our school’s Open House and Sports Day, participating in the Buona Vista Community Centre’s National Day Observance Ceremony, and celebrating Chinese New Year with the seniors from St. Andrews Nursing Home.
